to your first look.
About ten minutes, most of it the download. You need Windows 10 or later and Adobe Substance 3D Painter.
Put Atlas in Painter.
- Atlas is in beta: ask to join from your account. The download appears once you are accepted.
- Choose Download Atlas. The installer is signed, so Windows names the publisher.
- Close Substance 3D Painter — the installer cannot add Atlas while Painter is open — then run it. Three pages: the terms, the install, done.
- Open Painter. Atlas appears as a panel.
Sign in from Painter.
- In Painter, open Atlas › Settings › Account and choose Sign in.
- Your browser opens this site with a code — the same code Painter shows.
- Approve it if the codes match, then go back to Painter. It signs in within a few seconds.
If the browser did not open, type the code here. Never approve a code you did not ask for.
Make your first look.
- In the Blueprint panel, choose New Projection Blueprint. It adds Views, Capture, Look and four Channel nodes, already wired.
- Select Views and choose Build. Eight cameras ring the model.
- Give the Look a picture to follow — a Concept Gen, References or a Viewport Snapshot — and write what the surface should be.
- Press Run. Atlas captures the views, shows the price, and paints each one.
- Approve the views you like with the shield, then run the Channel nodes for base color, roughness, metallic and normal.
Approved views teach the rest: approve one view you love and run again, and the others follow it.
How the workflow fits together ↗Manage your account.
Balance & limits for top-ups and a monthly spending limit, Usage for every run and what it cost, Billing for your subscription and invoices.
Whether Painter shows prices, and whether Atlas may keep your runs for its dataset, live under Privacy & settings. You can change both at any time.
